Manage capacity

effectively

LAPIS offers simple tools that allow cities, towns, counties, businesses, and venues to build public confidence while monitoring crowd sizes, complying with health mandates, and facilitating contact tracing

HOW IT WORKS
Using LAPIS-enabled tools, event or public area visitors are assigned a QR code that permits entry if capacity is available. QR code assignment can be obtained either through a pre-reservation system or a walk-up rapid check-in.

Pre-reservation

Opening the LAPIS App, the user is presented with a map with icons for public areas, events, and venues that are open to the public and where reservations are allowed.

Icons are color-coded green, yellow, or red based on current available capacity. Tapping an icon brings up details about that location, including available capacity and directions.

The user selects “Book Now,” specifies the number of people, and confirms the selection. They are then provided with a receipt for their reservation and QR code for the reservation. The reservation now shows up in the My Reservations screen.

If capacity is not available, the user is prevented from completing the reservation and will be given instructions to choose either another site or another time.

RAPID CHECK IN

This feature works without the LAPIS app and is convenient for users who just want to walk into the public area and quickly check In. Try it yourself and check in to our test site in Zurich.

Just scan the QR Code with your phone camera
and bring up the check-in form.
Quick and easy!

Check out

Upon leaving the area, the party will be checked out manually or automatically, freeing up space for others. If the system detects that the user has not checked out they will be sent a prompt.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION

Build templates that spell out the various people and agencies who should be notified
when an emergency happens.
We offer you all tools to quickly and accurately notify the right supporting agencies as
well as follow ‘best practices’ codified in the standard procedures.

From initial contact with first responders in a crisis, victims are registered with LAPIS
using their smart phone which uniquely identifies them. LAPIS reservations can be
used to notify where that person needs to go to receive relief. As they are moved
through the first responder system, reservations can continue to track where
they need to be and if they have checked in. Notifications can be sent directly to
that LAPIS user from support agencies. LAPIS never tracks a person’s real location.

SAFETY

There’s no need for visitors to supply any contact data other than their phone numbers.

Once verified, users are in the system and don’t need to re-enter an SMS code.

The mobile number is not stored in any server or database.

Advantages
for municipalities

Now, administrators can easily self-configure new locations without costly programming requirements or relying on vendors. At no additional cost, municipalities can configure locations in the LAPIS dashboard and determine allowable capacity, with site boundaries marked by latitude and longitude coordinates and public access via a QR code. View capacity utilisation by date, monitor pre-reservation status, and watch sites fill up in real-time so they can immediately allocate resources to manage overflow capacity.

By sharing capacity levels with the public, administrators can reduce the number of people showing up who don’t have a reservation and prevent unplanned crowd flows.

Administrators have the option to limit reservations and allocate spots for local residents

Free Private Business or Venue Registration with
OUR Municipal Benefit Program

LAPIS provides this great benefit for municipalities to offer to private business in their region the ability to setup and control their private venues or areas on the administration’s LAPIS platform. These businesses will enjoy the same advantages as the municipality including site location on the LAPIS map, capacity setting, reservations, Rapid Check In and COVID contact tracing. Additionally, the municipality health authority can monitor how people are gathering in private venues and provide businesses with the latest social distancing requirements. The business can monitor their own dashboard of sites if desired and can use the messaging function to display in-app messages to those with reservations or have already checked in to a site.

Private businesses and venues can register events with local governments simply by sharing their longitude/latitude and capacity. Their site will be registered on the LAPIS map but can be hidden from the public view if necessary.

Once the business or event is setup hosts can:

  • Access QR code system and business resource on LAPIS

  • Use our Guest Register System via LAPIS Web App/Mobile App

  • Manage Capacity

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS

LAPIS offers high precision, strong data protection, tag-to-tag ranging, and high-capacity capabilities with fast refresh rates. Operate safely and protect the public with highly configurable alert systems that are easy to deploy and operate.

Contact presence tracing

LAPIS provides a presence contact tracing system that keeps track of accurate entry and departure times of visitors and notifies directly users who might have interacted with SARS-Cov-2 positive visitors within a certain time window compared to a potential index case. This enables a seamless operation between local administration and health authorities with no need to contact venues to find out contact details.
